It’s been since the beginning of July since we played on our potter’s wheels and it showed. What looked like a fun Saturday of creation turned into a frustrating day of slop. I don’t know what the deal with the clay today was. It was soft and I took my time kneading up several 2 and 3 pound balls, but took way too much water to throw anything. It was like throwing wads of glue, really sticky. My hands don’t normally look like I’m wearing thick gloves of slip but that wasn’t the case today. My day started out so so and ended with my last 5 pots in either the slurry bucket or back on the wedging table.
