We spent today trimming these cups with our new Giffin Grip then attaching and pulling handles.
After I whipped together a two piece cardboard splash pan to catch the trimmings, working with the Giffin Grip was very nice and speeded the process up quite a bit. It does give you more confidence while trimming, holding the pots very securely. Perfectly centered pots help as it centers the rim of the pot NOT the foot. I normally use a hard rubber bat and center using a finger as a gauge to find what part is out of center and pushing the pot to the middle over and over. I suck at tap centering.
The photo above is the first half of the order were working on, the second set that we’ll throw tomorrow will have slip-trailed dots on them ala “Dottie”.
