The highlights of a rather disappointing kiln firing.
We received a call from Laguna clay on Wednesday. Come to find out the shivering problems we’ve been experiencing that were unheard of are now a nation and industry wide problem. We use Laguna’s Miller #10 earthenware clay almost exclusively and we can’t get a single commercial or studio mixed white glaze and now our tried and true Duncan Royal Purple glaze to stick no matter what we try. They called to get more details of the problem they blew off months ago blaming it on the glaze manufactures even though we could successfully fire all our glazes on the previous batch of clay we had.
I think they should have to replace the 800 pounds we’ve wasted our time trying to make work.
