Zoe’s really not that kinda dog, in fact she’s the most laid back low maintenance puppy you can imagine.
Angi had an idea on what to start doing with a box of Swarovski flat back crystals we have. To test her theory Zoe’s getting a new treat jar with some bling.
When Angi designed the jar for me to throw we had to do some calculations with the height of the band at the top for the crystals to fit in. I made a plastic rib the height of the stacked crystals plus our clay shrinkage of 7.6%. I pressed the rib into the clay and then rounded over the top and bottom of the indention. It came out a little bit wide so I’ll trim the rib down a 1/16″ or so for the next try.
Here’s Angi gluing on the crystals, we put a blue underglaze on the band after we had tested the glue sticking to it’s surface.
The jar sure does sparkle, we need to work on the lighting a bit to really capture the sparkle with out adding a bunch of phony ass photoshop lens flares.
